Intense Pulsed Light Therapy

At Results Skin Care Center we use this treatment to help reduce the signs of pigmented lesions, redness from rosacea, and the improvement of overall skin tones.

How it works: the Palomar Starlux® Photorejuvenation system uses specialized handpieces which filter light to target blood vessels and pigmented lesions. Each band of the spectrum has a wavelength that is ideal for different treatments, such as sunspots removal and vessel clearance. This process provides the most skin-safe, comfortable, and effective photofacials available, with little to no downtime. Treatments are quick and are recommended in series of 3-5 every two weeks or so. We do offer special discounts for packages purchased.

What to expect after treatment:

• Immediately after treatment, you can expect a mild suburn-like sensation, possibly accompanied by some minor swelling. This usually lasts 2-24 hours, and can be soothed with cold gel or ice packs
• For Sunspots/Damage – The sunspots will darken after treatment and be naturally shed from the skin within 1-2 weeks
• For Rosacea – Skin tone will typically benefit from less prononced redness within a week after treatments
• Typically, a few visits will be necessary to treat sunspots, rosacea, and vessels.
